    Top honours at Hip Hop National Championships at Grand West

    Godspell collaboration. (Feb/March)

REWIND Theatre In The District:

    Celebration of ten years with successful production.

    BORN TO BE DRUG FREE:

    Launched anti drug abuse programme BORN TO BE DRUG FREE.

    Travelled as a full road show to 40 High Schools in the Western Cape. Full collaboration with Kaleidoscope.

    Qilimba Group:

    Set up collaborative training programme with Qilimba Group from Phillipi.

    Hip Hop International Championship:

    Preparation for preliminary rounds of 2nd Hip Hop International (hosted by Hip Hop Connexion) Championship.

    Shoprite:

    Some of our senior team members danced for the Shoprite BBB Bling promotion.

    Ajax Cape Town:

    Performed at Ajax Cape Town matches on 13 February and 01 March 2008.

    SATSA:

    Invited to perform excerpts of Woza Cape Town to a group of international delegates attending a board meeting hosted by SATSA (20 April 2008)

    Las Vegas:

    Final rounds of the Hip Hop International Championships, Las Vegas (hosted by Hip Hop Connexion).  The three groups entered had all reached this final round and achieved positions within the top 10.  The group that achieved 2nd place were invited to participate in the Championship in Las Vegas in July 2008.

    Las Vegas:

    Took part in Hip Hop International World Championships in Las Vegas USA. Achieved position 18 in the world!!!

    Grand West:

    Large entry into Grand West Hip Hop Championships. Achieved outstanding results.

    Robbin Island:

    Madiba's 90th Birthday performance.(July)

    CTICC:

    Good Hope best of Cape Town Award - for best production Cape Town. (sept)

    Staged the Broadway musical “Godspell”

    The Masque:

    Invited to perform “Godspell”

    Johannesburg:

    Took a small team up to SA Hip Hop champs

ONE OF OUR TEAM CHOSEN TO REPRESENT SOUTH AFRICA IN LOS ANGELES. Well done Debbie!!!!  

Sun City Superbowl:

    Took a team to Sun City to compete in the World Trials Circuit.    

    Masque Theatre:

    Successful run of “Can You Feel It

    The Theatre in the district:

    Launch of the on-going performances of Woza Cape Town and the launch of Theatre in the District.      

    Excerpts from Woza Cape Town at The Centre for The Book:

    Invited to perform at 40 year Gala evening SASTS .

    Robben Island Museum:

    Invited to be part of International Coastal Clean Up Day on Robben Island. Performed Woza Cape Town to all parties involved; Robben Island Museum, International Fund for Animal Welfare and Market Toyota.

    The Lord Charles Hotel:

    Performed at the ACSA International Tourism Convention at The Lord Charles Hotel.

    TDAE:

    Entered Theatre Dance Association Eisteddfod.  All items qualified for the finals. Received 7 Diplomas and 1 Honours. Awarded 3 First places in the finals and 2 special awards.

    The Theatre in the district:

    On-going performances of Woza Cape Town at Theatre-in-the-District.

    Grand West:

    Received  4  first places, 3 second places and various other places in the top 6 at the International Hip Hop championships.

      Took a team up to The Grahamstown Festival to perform Woza Cape Town

      Masque Theatre:

      Staged a very successful production “Going Places”

      Grand West:

      Entered International Hip Hop competition
